I find this very odd. Transits are the meat and potatoes of any astrological enquiry into what is happening when, and where-- much more detailed and pointed than are some of the totally symbolic approaches, either in their progressive or regressive forms. Transits at least link a symbolic representation (radix) to a more or less actual, albeit representational, flux of cyclic factors. The other symbolic approaches are merely re-representations of a symbolic representation of a radical transit.

The issue is which represents the flux better as a measurement system. Having a more technologically efficient calculator is certainly a plus, except for the under 40 crowd of fast guns who really don't have a solid hand on the fundamentals of what they are seeing on the screen. Although the programmer's of all astrological software have not really caught up with the technique of supermidpoints and phased midpoints in relocations which must be calculated on paper and entered on paper charts.

Some day they might catch up to me. But then that depends on how much money they might think they can make.
