Subject: [e] Computers?

Lately I've been spending the odd free moment of time contemplating the use of computers by astrologers. I have a basic question or two and I wonder what people on the list might answer (I have no firm answers myself).

Has the ability to cast charts so easily changed the value of a chart? If so, in what way? I recall my early experiences casting charts by hand and how I could have a typical chart with some error checking drawn up in 20 minutes, occasionally faster. Now, the longest part of the process is entering the data into the software. I usually just cast a chart and ignore the whole calculation part. Sometimes I wonder what effect that has. Any ideas? Any effect at all?

Likewise, how has the ability to do extensive transit work changed astrology? If at all. I've actually found myself not doing much with transits anymore and I'm not sure if that is just an evolution in my approach, or if the quantity of transits is too much for consideration. Anyone else have that experience?
